As an organisation that works with vulnerable members of the community, and has a long track record of addressing public health issues, we feel it is our responsibility to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our community, project participants, volunteers and staff. We also recognise that working in Leeds we are operating in city that is currently experiencing high and rising numbers of cases of Covid 19. Therefore, we have made the decision, in line with other similar organisations in the City to continue with all current Covid safety measures in place for the duration of the upcoming summer holidays and will review the situation in September. This means keeping current group sizes the same, and maintaining the group agreements in relation to mask wearing, hand sanitising, ventilation and any other measures.
On Wednesday 14th July we held an emergency meeting of Space2 board members and the Senior Leadership Team to discuss how Space2 will approach the lifting of mandatory Covid restrictions in England on 19th July.
