A vast and varied project that celebrated our National Health Service and worked with local volunteers to look at life before and after its establishment in 1948.
A community-led project that celebrated the rich heritage of The Old Fire Station. Through connecting with local people, it discussed key moments, narratives and characters in the history of the building.
The Leeds Eastern Fire Heritage Group is a group of volunteers, mainly retired Fire Fighters and their families, who trained or served at The Old Fire Station in Gipton.
