ROOTS Walking Group

Tuesdays 10:00-12:00 Killingbeck Meadows

Our ROOTS walking group is part of our wider project The Dead Plants Society in partnership with the Leeds Discovery Centre.

We are walking our local nature reserve to create our own East Leeds Herbarium which will become part of the Leeds Discovery Centre archive. These walks encourage observation of local plants and their history and a deep connection to our local green spaces. We explore habitat, plant uses and collect ideas and resources for creative ideas. Plus, great friendships form and we leave each walk uplifted.
