Barber B: A Play of Sorts 

Who is Barber B? Played by Barber B himself, A Play Of Sorts tells the extraordinary story of how Brian Swarray AKA Barber B began his artistic and entrepreneurial journey.

Barber B tells the extraordinary tale of how he created a renowned hair studio and training academy after teaching himself his craft.

Barber B recounted tales of how he began his journey into barbering. Set against the cultural backdrop of ’80s and ’90s Chapeltown, Leeds, Barber B moved through the characters, opportunities and obstacles which defined his career.

Alongside performances from Seki Lynch and  the Original Gappy Ranks. The show toured to various venues in Leeds in late 2022 and 2023. 

Brian Swarray died in September 2023, aged 50, after being diagnosed with a brain tumour two years earlier.
