Fork to Fork
Fork to fork is a long-running project created in partnership with the LS14 Trust, who are based in the heart of Seacroft and are heavily involved in the development of the community, inviting local people to grow, cook and connect.
The project invites local residents to help build a community garden in Seacroft, with the chance to get involved in exciting cookery classes with the food produced. It is open to all abilities, from those with no experience of cooking to those who are passionate about cultivating their own fresh food. Local people are able to come together and share ideas, with those with less growing skills able to learn first-hand from those more experienced.
The cooking sessions encourage local people to enjoy their own produce, understand the process of food growing, and learn healthy, delicious recipes to share with family and friends. Everybody has the ability to create their own input in the process, exemplifying Space2’s principles of participation and co-production and creating a connection to nature in the community as well as bringing people together.
The group runs every Wednesday morning at Digital Lounge in Seacroft.
