I started out as a musician, running interactive music sessions in schools, which eventually led me to working in SEND education and then making a shift to the charity sector. While I’m not as active in music these days, I still love how it can make us feel every emotion imaginable and I’m a big fan of anything creative! After music, I moved into grant-making and helping charities and community groups with strategy, resilience, and funding.
I first heard about SPACE 2 while volunteering at GFS (Gipton Fire Station), and I was instantly drawn to its mission of bringing joy to people’s lives through creative activities. That’s why I wanted to become a trustee – to be part of, even in a small way, to such a special place.
