Space2 were the delivery partner on this project for 6 years engaging with and working alongside local people to bring a culture shift in the use of front gardens and yards to grow fruit and veg by setting up taster workshops and engagement activities. Partnership development enabled us to enlist support and resources from local suppliers, including Parks and Countryside and local supermarkets. A symbiotic working relationship with Public Health and a number of Universities, including Leeds Beckett, led to supporting researchers in writing regular academic papers and a robust evaluation of the programme. Space2 were invited speakers at various regional and national Public Health Conferences.
